This is the worst recipe ever. The cookies tasted like flour, and nothing like sugar cookies at all. Ive never had such bad results in cookies

Made these cookies and I think this is the best cut-out cookie recipe ever. Makes lots of cookies too. No need to put in the fridg to keep cold. Mine looked just like the picture. My only problem is finding the recipe again. I printed it out for me but wanted to send it to my granddaughter to make and looked for a long time before I found it again.

The key is to get the frosting consistency perfect. A good royal icing will make a super smooth frosting. Start with the piping on the outside first and work your way in slowly. It takes about 20-30 to dry and you should see a nice pretty glossy frosting.

This makes a huge batch of cookies. Depending on the size of your cutters it can yield up to 48 cookies. I make lots of small ones and big ones so I get a variety but I usually have about 40.
